If you haven't had a Gordita, you have not lived! Growing up there was a market stall in my grandparent's town that made gorditas all day long, with dozens of filling options and you happily have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner and not tried all of them! They are a corn masa parcel, a bit like a fat tortilla or a pita bread, that you can stuff with your favourite filling. They're sold in food markets across Mexico and they are one of my top ten Mexican street foods to eat.
This workshop has all the top tips to make them at home. During the class, you'll learn the technique to make the gorditas as well as a few of the most traditional fillings and a good salsa to round it all up. It suits both carnivores and vegetarians alike. This is a mixture of hands on and demo class.
