I really like this roasted salsa roja form Herdez. Made with fire roasted tomatoes and jalapeno chilies, it gives the salsa a mild smokey flavour and it has a good amount of heat, without being uber hot. It does what a good salsa should do: provides flavour and some heat to your favourite Mexican dishes. Perfect for drizzling over tacos or tostadas, or for dipping tortilla chips into. I love it over fried eggs too!
